DESCRIPTION:Venue\nRougemont School Auditorium\, Malpas Road\, Newport NP20 6QB \nSections\nOPEN: \nOpen to FIDE registered members of the WCU or any other national chess federation. \nMAJOR (U1900): \nFor players rated under 1900 FIDE (or under equivalent national ratings if no FIDE rating exists). \nMINOR (U1650): \nFor players rated under 1650 FIDE (or under equivalent national ratings if no FIDE rating exists). \nNote: If you do not have a rating but wish to enter the Major or Minor\, please consult the organiser before entering. \n\nTimetable\nFriday 15th August: \nWelcome: 6.30pm \nRound 1: 6.45pm \n  \nSaturday 16th August: \nRound 2: 10.00am \nRound 3: 3.00pm \n  \nSunday 17th August: \nRound 4: 10.00am \nRound 5: 3.00pm \nPrize Giving: 6.30pm (or soon after) \n\nRate of Play\nDigital clocks will be used. \nEach player receives 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move from move one. \n\nEntry & Regulations\nEntry Deadline: Midday on Saturday 9th August 2025.
