Join the 56th edition of the West Wales Congress, a friendly but competitive weekender in one of Swansea’s best-connected venues. The event features three sections, all FIDE-rated, and is open to any FIDE-registered player from the Welsh Chess Union or another national body.
If you are not yet FIDE-registered, it’s a simple process – guidance is available on request.

Prize policy: No player may win more than one prize (highest prize only).
Ratings: October 2025 FIDE list will be used.
Unrated players should consult the Congress Secretary before entering Major or Minor.
